Governors Club
Governors Club in Chapel Hill has a Jack Nicklaus designed 27 hole golf course. The course follows the natural contours of the land that lies near Edwards Mountain. The lakes and woodlands offer tranquil, picturesque views while peppering more challenges into the golf course. The average home price in The Governors Club is $650,000.
Hope Valley
Designed by Donald J. Ross, this 18 hole, par 70 course has an element of history to go along with the rolling greens. Hope Valley prides itself on the fact that the course has remained almost identical to its original design in 1926. Homes in this area range from almost $2,000,000 down to $300,000. This club also has a great tennis facility with 7 clay courts and 2 hard courts.
The Oaks
The Oaks features an award winning 18 hole golf course that was renovated in 1999. The course was originally designed by Gene Hamm and redesigned by John LaFoy. The Oaks is part of the Chapel Hill Country Club, offering a variety of other amenities in addition to the spectacular golf course. The course is a par 72 and has a slope rating of 130 on Bermuda grass. Here you can fine homes priced from $500,000 to almost $3,000,000. Right across the street sits UNC’s Finley Golf Course, another great course to experience designed by Tom Fazio. No homes sit directly on the course, so you can swing a little harder than normal off the tee not having to worry about breaking a window. Croasdaile Country Club
Croasdaile Country Club boasts a newly renovated 18-hole, par 72 championship golf course. The course was renovated in 2002 by John LaFoy and is complete with three putting, chipping and pitching practice areas. The Durham course is a fun, yet challenging and fast course. The average home price in Croasdaile is about $700,000.
Treyburn
Treyburn is home to a par 72 golf course designed by Tom Fazio. It was named the best new course by Golf digest and the course continues to maintain its pristine reputation. The view and playability paired with the active country club social calendar make this golf course a gem in the community. Prices for homes in this community average about $400,000.
The Preserve at Jordan Lake
The Preserve at Jordan Lake course designed by Anderson Creek boasts a 72 par course, 18 hole course. The course is naturally challenging, but accommodates handicaps at every level. Willowhaven
Willowhaven is a country club community located in Durham. The country club not only offers swimming and tennis facilities, but also a golf course.
