Peak Swirles & Cavallito Properties is proud to continue its support of PORCH-Durham as a corporate sponsor in the effort to address childhood hunger.
Through donations and grants, PORCH-Durham provides food to food-insecure students and families through programs such as BackPack Buddies, School and Community Pantries, and the Summer Camp Feeding Program. In 2016, PORCH-Durham sent home 307 backpacks with food for the weekend to those children most in need within 8 Durham Public Schools. School and Community Pantries served nearly 2,000 individuals per week. With support from 80 Durham neighborhoods, PORCH-Durham collected more than 45,000 pounds of food.
